Carol’s Life

Carol wrote CJL in a wooden cabin on an old coffee farm on the banks of the Quebradas River, in southern Costa Rica. She shares her cabin with her husband Eladio and her dog Gabito. She moved to Costa Rica in 2012 in search of peace and a fresh start as a writer. She has successfully found both! She writes for The Costa Rica Star, an English-language newspaper in San Jose, usually assigned articles on crime: drug gangs, kidnappings, and narco-trafficking. Otherwise, she and Eladio live a quiet, Zen existence.
